I cannot believe how stupid this people are. They are making sure they are blamed for every single crime the bad guy commits by creating evidence against themselves. For instance, finding a dead body upon arrival, taking the weapon with its bare hands, firing it, waiting for the police or another person to arrive to see them with the weapon in front of the dead body, then running away leaving the evidence behind. OMG! Time and time again! Can they be any more stupid than that! 🤨 I think all these reviews claiming this is a realistic and great movie are jokes.

Just as good the 2nd time. Nothing overplayed, or a bit too much of the d€@th & destruction. I so wanted the 2 men to be cleared & named as quiet heros rather than branded as criminals. Thank you for an excellent film!

Excellent and realistic Movie

Nice disaster movie

A surprise. Something that wasn't America-centric and very nicely done too. That timeline and the steady pace was very good at highlighting the length of time it takes to organize after that size of disaster and to show that victims aren't rescued instantaneously.

He should of known better and been thinking about his dog. If he would of had him next to him, holding him he wouldn't of died. It wasn't like he was hauling ass and couldn't. No consideration for the poor dog.

You know it's a good disaster movie when the news is used as narration and exposition using stock video, so the rest of the movie can skip the main disaster and show all the disasters happening withing the main disaster that is, personal, relationship and family, or other life issues. TRIVIA QUIZ: Of the two surfers in the after credit scene, which one is carrying their surfboard facing the right direction - board top facing against body, board top facing away from body? TIP: Only one way is correct. The other is not.

I've just discovered this movie. I wish it had better marketing. It has to be one of the most realistic disaster movies made, especially since it was released approximately 2 years before the Christchurch earthquakes and was quite spot on. I don't understand comments here where people applaud the documentary style of this. There is nothing documentary style about this. No one speaks to the camera, or to "us". There is no narrator. These are always documentary type techniques used in documentaries. This is a movie of several plot lines based around one science fact type of disaster. Very well done. I could watch this type of a movie over and over.
